Within minutes of getting out of my car, the owner of the Josephine Cafe shepherded me inside her business, eager to show me the art, the cafe, and the beginnings of restoration on the old Josephine Hotel. She explained that Bullock County is simply waiting to be discovered. It lies half-way between Montgomery and Phenix City from west to east, and half-way between Auburn and Troy, from north to south.
